We use the finest quality British made 32 oz Cavalry twill and a pure merino wool tattersall lining for additional warmth and comfort coupled with practicality and durability. Made by a quality British Tailoring company to a traditional hunt pattern. Each coat comes with a waterproof interlining for those extra rainy days, a waterproof skirt lining and storm sleeve cuffs.
These coats are available in standard sizes with varying lengths or can be made to order. We can amend the specification to meet your individual needs for collars, buttons and pockets. We can provide hunt buttons and collar fabric or you are very welcome to supply your own.
Made to measure coats are approximately £950 which includes an initial measuring meeting with our tailor and a fitting before the coat is completed. Both of these take place in Walsall in Birmingham. The made to measure coat is not only to your own measurements but to your own specification in terms of pockets, fabric, collar, buttons etc.
The coat comes with 1 external waist flap pockets, internal breast pocket and internal poachers pockets and a 3 button front, 2 button back as standard.
We have standard sizes available in Black and Red Cavalry Twill but can make the coat to order in Keepers Tweed or another colour/weight of Cavalry Twill.
Care Instructions: Coats are best left to dry in normal ambient temperature…resist the temptation to hang in front of the AGA as they do not like too much direct heat. Use a stiff brush to remove heavy excess dry mud and a softer brush to remove more engrained dirt. We recommend storing your coat through the summer in a dark suit carrier to keep out direct sunlight. It is also a very good idea to pop a couple of cedar balls or other moth deterrent into the coat pockets and suit carrier.
